Hi, I am a new member of SL Modern.
We just purchased a 1966 midcentury modern house in Bountiful. I am trying to figure out the architect of our house, but am having difficulty. Any tips or ideas?
Also, would love to hear about any upcoming events, etc.

    Thanks,
    Angel Murdock

    Hi Angel:
I tried to find similar info on my house built in 1954. I contacted the Utah Historical Society and got this response. Since my house is in Salt Lake, and yours is in Bountiful, you’ll probably have to check Bountiful records. Hopefully, this will help you in your search–although I never got the info I was looking for.

    Alan,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding your house located on Logan Avenue. I checked our database and we do not have any information for this address–Logan Ave is only documented up to 1487 E.

Perhaps the best place to check to determined the builder/architect would be the city building permits. You can find these in our History Research Center or at the City Building, I think in the Planning Office on the 4th floor. For more research sources you should check our How to Research Your House page on our website at this link:

Let me know if you have any other questions.
